HRAYFC Certification Process for Cheerleaders
Certification (Cheer)

The purpose of this document is to outline the certification process for the 2010 football season.  Please keep this folder as an example for all team moms and coaches in your association to make the certification process more efficient.

Book certifications will be held at the HRAYFC office.  The address is 1024 W. 24th St., Norfolk, VA 23517.  Each Association will be assigned a date and time for each team.  It is very important that the teams show up at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.  This will eliminate the possibility of us running behind, creating unnecessary waiting.  Some certifications will take place during the week, but there may be a need to have teams come on a designated Saturday or Sunday.  Players do not need to be out late at night and we need to respect parents and members of the HRAYFC Board’s personal schedules

The schedule will be based upon teams that have turned in their applications and have paid for their individual teams.  If you have not turned in your application or paid your fees, please do so ASAP.

 

Prior to arriving at your scheduled certification appointment, teams will be required to enter in basic player data into the HRAYF website. Go to www.hrayfc.com and click on ID Register.   This allows us to print out the Cheerleaders IDs faster.

 

What will take place at certification?

1.       Review of Cheerleaders Paperwork (See book example)

2.       Initial weigh in

3.       Printing of ID Card ($10 per player)

In order for a Cheerleader to be certified, all of the Cheerleader's paperwork must be present including the LATEST report card from this past school year as well as the birth certificate.  A copy of the player’s birth certificate will be sufficient to remain in the book; however we will need to see the original birth certificate for each Cheerleader.  (This is the same process as DMV).  Each section of the ID Cheerleader sheet will be stamped if it has been verified.  If a Cheerleader is missing a portion of their paperwork, but is present at the certification, their id will be created and held at the HRAYFC office until the Cheerleader is completely certified.

 

The first official day of practice (conditioning) is July 26th.  It is suggested that you give parents the paperwork to fill out in a timely fashion so that the books can be in order.  Efficiency is key. Please help us help you.
